This just in from the Dutch satnav makers – TomTom’s Spark GPS Fitness Watch with integrated music player, dispensing with the need to strap a smartphone to your arm or even bother with wires in your quest for energising tunes.

Packing 3GB of music storage – that’s good for over 500 songs – the TomTom Spark can stream music to a wide range of Bluetooth headphones, and comes preloaded with a 30-minute playlist from Music of Sound.
But wait, there’s more! Steps, active minutes, distance, calories burned and sleep duration are tracked by the 24/7 activity tracking, while the built-in heart rate monitor removes the need for a chest strap.
The multisport mode means users can track their indoor and outdoor sporting activity including running, cycling, swimming, treadmill and gym workouts. And GPS tracking provides real-time information including time, distance, speed and pace.
The TomTom Spark is available for pre-order now on www.tomtom.com/fitness and costs £189.99. The full range will be available in stores in October, we'll hopefully be testing one soon...
