A few months ago we launched a new competition which offered the chance to win 12 months of mentorship with four-time Ironman world champion Chrissie Wellington to one lucky reader. Katy Campbell from Ottery St Mary in Devon got the nod, and is now embarking on a once-in-a-lifetime journey with the very best in multisport.

In issue 304 of 220 Triathlon (on sale 16 September) we describe Katy’s first sessions, in which she received a full physiological assessment at the Bristol Physiotherapy Sport Injury Clinic, followed by a biomechanical running assessment to check her technique, posture and alignment.

As a result of these sessions, it was found that Katy is at risk of knee and shoulder injuries, and she was prescribed a a series of everyday stretches aimed at improving specific areas of flexibility, shoulder control/stability and strength around her shoulder blade, and the same for her hips/pelvis for leg stability.
