A new sporting weekend festival called The Nucleus will be held in Northamptonshire this June, featuring triathlons, running events and sportives – as well as music, entertainment, food and drink.

The Nucleus festival is being put on by Challenge Weymouth organisers Just Racing UK, and will take place on 27-29 June at Boughton House, one of Britain's grandest stately homes.

Triathlon events will include a super-sprint triathlon (400m/15km/3km) for adults on Sunday 29 June, as well as a kids' open-water triathlon of varying distances. Other events include a 5km run on 27 June, a 6hr/12hr MTB endurance event on 28 June, and a half marathon on 29 June.

"The Nucleus is quite unlike anything we have ever worked on at Just Racing UK, and we are all really looking forward to it becoming a leading event in our 2014 racing calendar," said Just Racing UK managing director Alan Rose.

"There will be live music and entertainment, with an exciting headline act soon to be announced. Comfortable camping and catering will also be available onsite, with a comprehensive range of healthy food options."
