Elite Racker – first look

Protect fancy saddle rails and stop your steed sliding around in the wind and rain

Italian scamps Elite have plenty of history on these pages with their turbo trainers and hydration systems; their latest tri-specific release now being the Racker.

The Racker clamps onto a standard transition rack using a tool-free ratchet, and you can then insert the nose of your bike saddle (noseless saddles also fit) into the slot.

The aim is to prevent your steed sliding around in the wind and rain, and protecting the saddle rails. The racker also includes an integrated number holder to clearly mark your spot.

Given it’s illegal under British Triathlon rules to mark your transition area, you’ll have to check on the legality of using it before your races. Price: £24 from www.madison.co.uk.
