Founded in 2008, Velocite may be a young company but their new Magnus frameset looks like it’ll make the more established competition sit up and take notice.

Now featuring dual compatibility (Di2 or mechanical), the Magnus has a claimed weight of 980-1,100g throughout the four sizings (XS, S, M, L), a 5% drop on last year’s model.

Velocite also claim that the Magnus has the highest torsional stiffness of any frame on the market, receiving scores of 113°/Newton metre (how much the frame flexes) and 156.5°/Nm at the head tube and BB when tested by the EFBe in Germany.

As well as the frameset, which retails for £1,590, Velocite offer full builds with your choice of Shimano, Campagnolo or SRAM groupset.

If you fancy one, they’re available from UK distributors VIP Bikes Ltd. Check out www.velocite-bikes.com.
