Study finds multisport athletes among biggest fundraisers

Fundraising by UK triathletes has grown significantly in the past two years, with triathlon fundraisers now raising a whopping £740 each on average, a new report has found.
This compares to an average of £360 for running fundraisers and £885 for trekking fundraisers, according to the report’s authors, JustGiving and ACTIVE Network.
The number of women creating fundraising pages for triathlons on JustGiving also increased dramatically (25%) over the past two years.
More than 900 triathlons were held around the UK in 2012, and the report predicts big growth for the sport in the years ahead.
