North west charity, the Together Trust, is looking for runners to fill its charity places in the Bupa Great Manchester Run. The Together Trust, which provides care and education services to young people and adults in the region, has up to 50 places available in the 10 kilometre IAAF Gold Label race, which is being held on Sunday 16 May.

The money raised by each runner will be used to support the Together Trust’s 30 social care, special education, community support and consultancy services, such as its domiciliary care provision for children and adults, and Inscape Salford, a special school for children with autism. In reward for their support, all Together Trust runners will be given free professional sports advice and a massage after the race at the Hilton Deansgate hotel.

Julie Williams, fundraising assistant at the Together Trust, said: “The Together Trust is appealing to experienced runners to help support the charity in this premier 10k event. As one of the North West’s oldest and largest charities, the Together Trust has strong roots in the area, making it the perfect fundraising choice for this regional event.”

The Bupa Great Manchester Run takes in the sights of Manchester, including Deansgate, The Lowry, Imperial War Museum North and Old Trafford, and is broadcast live on BBC TV.
