Tim Don won the Seoul ITU Triathlon Asian Cup at the weekend. The 2006 World Champion outran the competition to take the win in a time of 1:51.57 over Danylo Sapunov of the Ukraine.

The victory is Don’s second at an ITU Continental Cup this season following a win at the Port Elizabeth ITU Triathlon African Cup in March. He also finished sixth at the highly competitive Dextro Energy Triathlon - ITU World Championship Series Sydney.

Don chose to race in Seoul following the postponement of the World Championship Series race in Yokohama, Japan, which will now take place on Monday 19 September - a national holiday in Japan.

Don said: “It’s always fantastic to achieve a win on the ITU circuit. I chose to do this race instead of the postponed Yokohama, and I’m back home already now in order to prepare for Strathclyde, Blenheim and Windsor. I’m looking forward to some home races before returning to the World Championship Series.”

The GE Strathclyde Park Triathlon is the first event in the season of the five-race British Triathlon Super Series, and takes place on Sunday 22 May.

The British Triathlon Super Series then heads to Blenheim (4 June), Windsor (12 June), Canary Wharf (30 June) before the final race at the London Triathlon (30 July).
