One of the true legends of world-stage triathlon, Spencer Smith will be making a rare UK appearance on 22 August, when he joins Team Planet X to compete in the UK National Relay Championships.

“I finished 2nd at the Junior Nationals when I was 16 racing for Thames Turbo Tri Club", Smith recalls. "I got the trophy home super-proud, then dropped it and it split in half. I also rode the whole bike leg with my helmet on the wrong way round! It will be a great to go back and lead the Planet X team; it feels like I am coming full circle.”

Also on the team will be the Planet X-sponsored Luke Dragstra, who recently finished in ninth place at Challenge Roth; Dann Brook (winner this year of the the Lisboa International Triathlon); and Richard Teare, a champion cyclist and currently in second place in the National Duathlon series.
