India's inaugural international triathlon is now under and month away and registration closes in just three weeks. News has just reached us that the top 18 finishers will recieve entry to the Ironman Laguna Phuket 70.3, to be held on 5 December 2010.

Come February 14, 2010, India’s first international triathlon will take off against the spectacular beaches of Goa – India’s no.1 tourist destination. INDIA INTERNATIONAL TRIATHLON 2010 offers a unique DESTINATION RACE of 1.5k swim/60k bike/11k run. Apart from this, there are categories like the SPRINT TRIATHLON, DUATHLON, 5K FUN RUN & KIDS DUATHLONS, to reach out to a wider audience and encourage participation across all age groups.
Some of the iconic male and female pros from the world of triathlon are scheduled to be in India for this landmark event that boasts a prize purse of USD 30,000. India International Triathlon also has 18 qualifying slots for the 2010 Ironman 70.3 Asia-Pacific Championship. To add the atmosphere, this unique event has been timed to coincide with the Goa Carnival where festivities turn in from as far out Brazil and Russia. This will give all our travelling guests from India and across the world a chance to enjoy the vibrant colors and unique flavor of this lively beach destination.
