With this year’s event still a vivid memory (waves, anyone?), the organisers of Challenge Weymouth have just opened entries for the 2015 full and half distance races.

Next year’s event will be held on 13 September and has already been chosen to host the 2015 ETU European Long Distance Triathlon Championships, despite only being in its second year. Entries made before 21 October will also be eligible for an early-bird discount.

Challenge Weymouth will offer a total pro prize purse of €50,000, paying to 10th place in both the men’s and women’s races. Among the athletes rumoured to be racing next year are 2013 winners Eleanor Haresign and Joe Skipper, as well as two-time Ironman world champion Chris McCormack.
