The Corby Triathlon is set to return on Sunday 23 June, to the newly renovated East Midlands International Pool in Corby. The event offers a little bit of something for everyone, from the more experienced athlete looking to warm up for their big events later in the year, right through to those embarking upon their first season in the sport.

Athletes can choose between two distances: the ‘Sprint’ event, comprising of a 400m swim, 28km bike and 4.8km run, or the ‘Novice’ event, a 250m swim, 16km bike and 3.2km run.

Both triathlons are pool based, and the impressive 50 metre pool facilities are especially good for newcomers to triathlon, or for those who feel less confident in the water.

The bike course consists of 28km for the sprint event (two laps) and 16km for the novice (one lap) taking athletes west of Corby past Rockingham Castle and in to the Welland Valley. The 4.8km Sprint run course then follows three fast and flat laps around the centre of Corby, with the Novice run course completing 2 laps totalling 3.2k. The finish area in front of the new Qube building offering ample space for friends and family to show their support.

Entry is only £36 entry fee (£41 non BTF). Entries close on Tuesday 18th June at 12:00.
