British Triathlon shortlisted for Sport Governing Body of the Year?

Governing body on shortlist of six to win industry award

British Triathlon has been announced by the Sport Industry Group as one of six governing bodies on the Official Shortlist for the Sport Governing Body of the Year Award, sponsored by the Daily Telegraph, completing the shortlist line-up for the Sport Industry Awards 2012.

In what has been another memorable year where we have celebrated 13 world champions, the shortlist was based on British Triathlon’s delivery across four key pillars of governance – Performance, Leadership, Community and Ethics.

The six organisations shortlisted for the Sport Governing Body of the Year Award, sponsored by the Daily Telegraph, are:?

• British Cycling

• British Triathlon

• ECB

• England Netball

• Rugby Football League

• UKA?

British Triathlon, who won the award in 2010, will be profiled alongside each of the shortlisted governing bodies in the Daily Telegraph on a weekly basis over the next six weeks, before the winning organisation is announced at the star-studded Sport Industry Awards ceremony on Wednesday 2 May.
