Specialized Sitero Expert

The Sitero is a genuine TT/Tri perch, fully engineered to make riding on the aerobars as comfortable as possible.

And it is comfortable, with the triangular shape and slightly wider nose (4cm) combining to keep you pain-free even on long rides.

One smart feature is the changeable rear attachment that can house a (separately bought) bottle cage, or act as a hook to hang your bike from in transition – much easier than hooking the saddle over a bar and also makes for a quick getaway.

The ‘sit zone’ is covered with perforations for added grip, while the cover itself is ‘anti-slip’ to further prevent any sliding. It works reasonably well, but you still have to discipline yourself to not slide down to the nose when pushing hard.

£100 is always a big spend, but a comparable ISM or similar tri-specific saddle will set you back more. Plus, it’s hard to put a price on comfort when you’re riding for six hours!
