Sugoi Versa

At first glance it appears that Sugoi hasn’t broken the mould with the Versa. All the key components are here – a quality water-resistant and breathable fabric, a smattering of reflective detailing and a dynamic cut.

There’s also a good-length tail, elastic cording to keep out the elements and plenty of pockets, all at a price that won’t break the bank. For those runs where the weather just can’t make up its mind, though, a jacket with removable sleeves is always useful, and that’s exactly what we have here. This conversion usually requires some sort of contortionist act to tackle fiddly zips, but the Versa employs a series of smartly placed magnets, making it a genuine tear-off or easy-on solution and by far the best convertible jacket we’ve ever tested.

If only they’d applied this technology to the stuff pocket, you’d be looking at a near-perfect score.
