Minoura Action Roller Advance

As the lightest rollers on test, weighing in at a mere 5.3kg and folding down impressively small, the Minouras open their account well. At 415mm wide their alloy drums are also the widest.

They don’t have a parabolic (curved) profile but the additional roller width and low frame design does make them novice friendly, and these remain the quickest and least traumatic set to learn on.

We know that appearances shouldn’t matter but somehow the frame looks cheap with comparisons to garage shelving units not too far off the mark! But once set up and rolling, there’s no hint of movement from the frame that, considering its weight, is pretty impressive.

Noise level is perfectly acceptable and the ride is smooth, leaving a solid set of no-frills rollers that’d be ideal to give rolling a try on.
