Cat Eye Single Shot

Two powerful LEDs are mounted facing a reflector, which then casts forward a wide beam of penetrating light.

The handlebar-mounted unit is bulky because it includes the NIMH battery pack, and although fitting is easy, we felt the bracket was a bit weedy for what is a relatively heavy unit.

This is a bike-only light, but it clips on and off the mounting easily enough. Operation is by a single, rubber covered button at the rear and there are five modes, beginning with flash up to eye-watering full strength. The beam is quite long and very wide, largely due to lens width plus side windows. Illumination detail is adequate for use down to dark country lane level.
