Sailfish Vibrant

The Sailfish Vibrant blended into the middle ground, offering good, if not remarkable, levels of flexibility, buoyancy and fit.

The quality of construction is up there with the best here and the high-grip forearm panels – to increase the effectiveness of the catch and pull phases of the stroke – is a bonus on an entry-level suit.

The cut is more generous than some of the really lightweight suits, and the neat zip cover on the back with no visible stitching gives a clean and smooth look not found on many others tested.

A relative newcomer to the UK, Sailfish will have to work hard to make an impression in an already congested market.

However, they certainly offer a competent product at a competitive price, which will quite rightly be enough to tempt some people away from the bigger names.
