Here's a roundup of our all-time favourite bits of triathlon gear our team has tested in 2025, all of which scored over 90% in testing.

We’ve waved goodbye to 2025, but that doesn’t mean waving goodbye to some of the superb swim, bike, and run kit we’ve tested over the last twelve months. In no particular order, here’s our rundown of the highest-scoring products our test team have rated over the last year…

1. Ddipp Sea Monster Hydro

In a busy swim changing robes market, the Sea Monster has a cool name and a warm design, with 100% recycled material, removable sleeves and super-soft fleece. Verdict: 95%. (Issue: January 2025).

2. Gorewear Spinshift GTX Jacket

Kudos to Gore for the bold visibility here, as well as lightweight construction that is also superbly waterproof. Plenty of carefully considered details and a real investment cycling jacket piece. Verdict: 93%. (Issue: March 2025)

3. Shimano Ultegra PD-R800

These clipless pedals pack plenty of bang for the buck and despite being on the market for a few years now stood the test of time with last year’s 90% rating. Verdict: 90%. (Issue: February 2025)

Our tester praised the Genesis for being a quietly-confident trail running shoe – a great fit, cushioned but responsive and able to withstand the worst of winter mud. Verdict: 95%. (Issue: February 2025)

Finally bringing the bright AMOLED screen the Fenix range, the 8 was the watch model triathletes had been waiting for in 2025 – and it didn’t disappoint! Verdict: 93%. (Issue: April 2025)

Water-resistant, sealed seams, a comfortable diagonal zip and a snug hood – this run jacket ticks all the boxes and is lightweight enough to carry without noticing it. Verdict: 93%. (Issue: April 2025)

Waterproof headphones for swimming are having a moment as we go into 2026 and these bone-conduction ones can be used for running too – plus it’s super-easy to add music to them. Verdict: 92%. (Issue: May 2025)

10. Hutchinson Blackbird Race

A prototype of these tyres was used by Alex Yee in the Paris Olympics and our tester praised these for a lower weight of 240g, as well as feeling fast, smooth and grippy. Verdict: 93%. (Issue: May 2025)

Our tester said this bike jersey ‘oozes class and premium quality’ with a fit that was close and aero, but without causing restriction. Verdict: 95%. (Issue: May 2025)

Luca design garments to ‘empower women’ and our tester loved these redesigned bib shorts with a ‘beautifully-tailored fit’ with no gaping or bulging. Verdict: 95%. (Issue: June 2025)

At a mere 270g per shoe (size 44) these road cycling shoes felt stiff without sacrificing comfort and our tester reported a ‘slipper-like’ feeling from first use. Verdict: 92%. (Issue: May 2025)

These sleek, stylish swim goggles felt secure without being too prominent for pool swims and passed our tumble-turn and dive tests with no leaking or fogging. Verdict: 95%. (Issue: June 2025)

The fit of this triathlon wetsuit was superb, with flexible and supple neoprene used throughout. Exo-lift aerodome technology created a great body position, too. Verdict: 92%. (Issue: July 2025)

Our tester praised the soft polyamide fabric here, as well as the generous pockets and impressive leg grippers leading to a comfortable, yet practical tri-suit. Verdict: 95%. (Issue: August 2025)

Our tester found this top-end tri-suit supple and supportive right out of the box. It was quick to dry and comfortable to both ride and run in. Verdict: 98%. (Issue: September 2025)

At just 21g these sunnies were so light we could barely feel them, while the frameless design gave great visibility on both ride and run. They look darn good, too. Verdict: 95%. (Issue: October 2025)

Ticking all the boxes for our tester, these run shorts were stylish and practical – staying in place while being light and ventilated and including decent storage options. Verdict: 97%. (Issue: October 2025)

Coots won our women’s swimwear category in 2025 too with the LF one-piece. Attention to quality and detail as well as sustainability made it an easy decision. Verdict: 97%. (Issue: November 2025)

Our tester described these as ‘the most comfortable shorts’ he’s ever run in, appreciating the lightweight and technical material with laser-cut breathability. Verdict: 96%. (Issue: November 2025)

These top-end jammers are sustainably made in quality fabrics and impressed our tester through their quality fit and comfortable design. Verdict: 91%. (Issue: November 2025)

Bouncy and putting a spring in our tester’s stride, these run shoes were propulsive and gave plenty of energy return – perfect for long distance runners. Verdict: 97%. (Issue: December 2025)
