We’ve teamed up with Events of the North and The Northumbrian to gift a FREE entry to the UK’s only cross-border middle-distance triathlon.

The event is The Northumbrian, a challenging but rewarding half-iron distance at the stunning Kielder Water in Northumberland on 30th June 2024.

The challenge begins with a freshwater swim in northern Europe’s largest man-made lake, an elevated cycle route into the picturesque Scottish borders and a scenic forest run in the place that hosts the iconic Kielder Marathon.

The competition prize also includes The Northumbrian branded Band of Climbers Cycle Jersey.

About The Northumbrian

Swim 1.2 miles: 2 laps in the breathtaking serenity of the famous Kielder Water with entry and exit via a slipway. Wetsuits are mandatory.

Bike 56 miles: 1 lap through the stunning valley and a ride over the border from England to Scotland to conquer the challenging, inspiring roads. The majority of the route will be on open roads, however, there will be some partial closures for safety. The route will be fully marshalled including moto marshals. It’s non-drafting and bikes must comply with British Triathlon rules.

Run 13.1 miles: 2 laps of Bull Crag, covering the impressive forest trails that host the testing Kielder Marathon.

How to enter

The Northumbrian is a challenging event, so please ensure you are confident in your ability to complete the course before entering.
