Another action-packed Olympic race sees the women sprinting round the streets of Tokyo's Odaiba Park. Unlike the men's race, lead packs quickly formed and the chase was on with athletes caught and others dropped. Thanks to the stormy and wet conditions, there were crashes galore and an almost-fatal puncture for one of Britain's podium hopefuls. Catch-up on the action with our race gallery.

After a 15 minute delay due to a typhoon brewing, the women are off!
Vicky Holland, GB's third athlete in the race, leaps in after the Aussie exit for the final 550m lap.
Ireland's Carolyn Hayes wades out the swim in her Olympic debut, she'll later finish 23rd.
On the bike, a lead pack quickly forms of 7 women, with Flora Duffy and the two Brits, Taylor-Brown and Learmonth taking turns at the front.
Oldest athlete in the race and 2012 Olympic champion, 39-year-old Nicola Spirig leads the first chase pack on the bike.
Winner of WTCS Leeds, the Nederland's Maya Kingma sweats it out on the run to later finish 11th.

Race favourite Brit Georgia Taylor-Brown suffered a puncture at the end of the bike, she manages to claw back her 22s delay on the run. Impressive.
