After months of discussing, designing, testing, re-discussing, redesigning, retesting, spell-checking, factory visits and all the other tiny details that go into producing a new product range; Chapeau! has announced the arrival of their first clothing range. Here's what the West Country-hailing brand had to say on the launch...

Chapeau! is a brand conceived and developed by a group of cyclists who yearned for great quality products with a touch of class.

The new range was unveiled at the Bespoked Bristol last weekend, followed by a launch party at Mud Dock Deli on the Saturday night. Both events resulted in the clothing range gaining rave reviews from those that attended based on looks and feel alone.

Highlights from the range include three types of bib short. The Classic bib short is a perfect introductory bib short available for a very reasonable £59.99. Then there are the Pavé bib shorts, which come with two types of position specific Carbonium pads – the red pad is for those that prefer more of a racing position, the green is for those that have a more sportive position. Both are available for £119.99.

The bib shorts are the perfect match for subtle look of the Etape performance jersey, a black, slim fitting jersey with either a red or white bowler hat logo for £69.99. This demonstrates what the brand is trying to achieve perfectly.

The range is completed by a selection of comfortable Merino base layers, an all seasons gilet, rain jacket and essential accessories like socks, and arm and knee warmers for those cooler days. The combination of the City shorts, available in black or pin stripe, and the Café jersey provide a casual solution for cyclists that like to ride to their favourite pub or coffee shop.

220 will be featuring the range soon, which is now available in a variety of colours and sizes from www.chapeaucycling.co.uk
