BBC to broadcast Lausanne live on red button
Beeb to show sprint and relay champs this weekend
The BBC has confirmed they will broadcast live coverage of the Dextro Energy Triathlon ITU World Championship Lausanne on the BBC Red Button and BBC Sport website.
British athletes will be racing on Saturday 20 August in the 2011 ITU Sprint World Championships, as part of the 2011 Dextro Energy Triathlon ITU World Championship Series before joining forces on Sunday 21 August for the 2011 ITU Team Triathlon World Championships.
Fresh from their podium finishes in Hyde Park, Helen Jenkins, Alistair Brownlee and Jonathan Brownlee will be joined by Jodie Stimpson in the Olympic city of Lausanne. The team is one of the favourites for gold in an event, which will provide an exciting spectacle with 30 nations all challenging for the title as the ITU aims for the team events inclusion on the Rio 2016 Olympic Games programme.
Lausanne Broadcast Schedule
· Women’s ITU Sprint World Championships: Live on the BBC Red Button and BBC Sport website from 12.00 noon until 13:30 on Saturday 20 August.
· Men’s ITU Sprint World Championships: Live on the BBC Red Button and BBC Sport website from 14.20 until 15:50 on Saturday 20 August.
· The ITU Team Triathlon World Championships: Live on the BBC Red Button and BBC Sport website from 13:30 until 15:10 on Sunday 21 August.
· Highlights of the full event will be broadcast on BBC 2 from 4pm on Sunday 21 August.
