Tenn Triad

Cycling apparel maker impresses on multisport debut with comfortable flatlock stitching and quick-drying chamois

Three things are inevitable in a triathlete’s life: death, taxes and, that before long, a cycling apparel manufacturer will produce a tri-suit.

Previously we’ve had Louis Garneau, Scott and Castelli – and now it’s Tenn’s turn, the UK outfit who’ve carved a reputation for quality garments at affordable prices.

And that’s exactly what the Triad tri-suit is. Like many tri-suits out there, its composition is a mix of nylon (80%) and elastane (20%), ensuring a fit that’s nice and snug but that still allows movement where you need it – specifically the upper legs and upper body.

Flatlock stitching increases the comfort factor, while silicon leg grippers prevent the legs riding up.

The chamois dries rapidly, though you might prefer more cushioning for long-course exploits. It’s a front-facing zip in a sleeve to keep it neatly tucked away.

Two rear pockets suggest its target audience is Olympic-to-middle athletes, but we’d have liked a touch wider opening for gels on the fly… Which is about the only flaw for this impressive multisport debut.
