Proskins Active Leggings

The legging has found a new lease of life over the last year or so. Once confined to the gym, the ‘leisurewear’ phenom has helped propel it into the mainstream, the ideal outfit in which to hit the supermarket at the weekend.

Cue Proskins, whose tagline is ‘Intelligent Apparel’. Baselayer and compression wear experts, they ‘specialise in clothing that helps men and women look, feel and perform at their best.’ With their Active Leggings, they certainly tick the aesthetic box thanks to their ‘classic comfort fit waistband', sitting snugly above the hips to provide a flattering and perfect fit.

As a well-endowed female in the bottom department – junk in one’s trunk, shall we say – this higher waistband received the double thumbs-up when we first tried them on and continued to surpass expectations during workouts. Just don't pull them up too high, otherwise camel-toe is inevitable.

As a leggings fan, both in and out of the gym, these are some of the comfiest we’ve ever worn. Using them on the turbo and in the gym, they sit comfortably at the waist, and do exactly what they purport to do – provide unrestricted movement. Plus, their anti-wicking properties are excellent – zero sweaty crotch situation after a tough 30min turbo interval to report.

The price is extremely competitive, too. For the more adventurous type, they also come in a vibrant blue/green/yellow pattern and are available in UK sizes 6-14 (sizing was also spot on).
