Bryton Rider 21E bike computer review

The Rider 21E is easily one of the slickest little computers we’ve seen. It’s tiny (6cm/3.9cm /1.6cm) and fits on even the smallest of stems using a Garmin-style quarter turn mount.

The screen is 1.6in monochrome, but perfectly clear and easy to see with just a cursory glance down. The four training pages can display between one and three metrics and you can also set up two bike profiles.

It has GPS too, so you can upload your rides via the Bryton bridge software to brytonsport.com, while the three-button system is easy to use.

It’s ANT compatible so you can pair it with any ANT heart-rate strap or speed/cadence sensor, but it won’t talk to a power meter, which is slightly irritating as its size and simplicity would otherwise make it a perfect choice for racing.

Our only other gripe is the proprietary connector for both charging and linking to a computer, which leaves you at the mercy of the one cable.
