Endura MTR bike gloves review

These tough gloves from the Scotland-hailing Endura are great for keeping your hands soft and gentle when you’re wrestling a bike around on anything other than smooth tarmac.

>>> Off-road hill climbs to improve fitness in one hour

A stretchy mesh panel covers most of the back and three fingers of each hand, but while it helps keep your mitts cool in warm weather, it means they’ll probably be off duty during the cold of winter.

There are firmly padded panels at the bottom of the palms that bear the brunt of the beating you get from the bike. And they’re joined by silicone grips across the middle of the palms and the tips of the fingers to help you keep a good hold.

The medium test sample was a close but surprisingly good fit for large paws, so check Endura’s size guide carefully.

Verdict: Tough, grippy, close-fitting gloves for better weather, 85%
