UK Triathlon race series back for 2010

The UK Triathlon race series have joined forces with the Outdoors Show to create two extra races in 2010. This year, the Outdoors Show has a new event running alongside it, the TriLive show



The UK Triathlon race series have joined forces with the Outdoors Show to create two extra races in 2010. This year, the Outdoors Show has a new event running alongside it, the TriLive show.




Having information for experienced and amateur triathletes, there will be guest speakers, a sports clinic, one-on-one consultations and much more. The show runs from the 26th until the 28th March at the NEC in Birmingham. On Saturday the 27th, UK Triathlon are holding their TriLive Duathlon and on Sunday 28th, it’s the Outdoors Show Run. The duathlon comprises of a Fun Distance, Main Distance and the Relay. The Main and Relay distances are a 2.5km run, 20km cycle and 5 km run, and the Fun is a 1.2km run, a 10km cycle and then a 2.5km run to finish it off.



Other races on the UK Triathlon calendar this year are the usual: Stratford 220 Triathlon – 9 May, Cheshire Triathlon – 23 May, Henley-on-Thames Triathlon – 13 June, Trentham BIG HALF Triathlon – 11 July, South West Triathlon – 25 July, South Coast Triathlon – 14 August, South Coast Run – 15 August, North West Triathlon – 5 September and the Warwickshire Triathlon – 3 October.

UK Triathlon now has a total of 11 races in the UK making it the largest independent race series in the country and last year there were over 8,000 competitors. This year aims to be much bigger with the addition of the TriLive Duathlon and the Outdoors Show Run. For more information, visit www.uktriathlon.co.uk.
