Together Trust calls for Great North Swim participants

North west charity is looking for people to represent it in the one-mile British Gas Great North Swim

The Together Trust is looking for people to represent it in the one-mile British Gas Great North Swim. Taking place on Lake Windermere, this is the largest event of its kind in the UK and has recently been voted the world’s fifth best open-water swim event.

There are three dates that participants can choose from – Friday 22, Saturday 23 or Sunday 24 June 2012. By signing up with the Together Trust, participants will pledge to raise a minimum sponsorship of £150 and the money raised will go towards its social care, special education, community support and consultancy services across the North West.

Helena Brailsford, fundraising manger at the Together Trust, commented: “Thousands of swimmers don their wetsuits and take part in this unforgettable experience every year. Whether you’re a seasoned professional or an enthusiastic novice, we welcome swimmers of all abilities and we’ll support you every stroke of the way in your fundraising efforts.”

For further information, call the Together Trust on 0161 283 4822 or email fundraising@togethertrust.org.uk.
