Time to go Extreme

There's a new 'Man' on the long-distance block

The first Extrememan triathlon takes place on the Island of Menorca on 12 September.

The middle-distance format (1.9km swim, 90km bike, 21.1km run) takes place on one of the most beautiful playgrounds in the Mediterranean.

The course has been designed by four-time Ironman France winner Marcel Zamora.

Here’s a breakdown of the course…

Fornell’s lovely port will host the single-lap swim (in the quiet waters of a protected bay). You’ll then bike 90km through the colourful Menorcan countryside.

Even if there’s no significant difficulty, the two biking laps will be a succession of little hills and rhythm changes, already quite exhausting for the participants.

As dessert, the athletes will spend whatever energy they have left in a fantastic half marathon drawn along the sea, optimizing the nicest spots and corners of the region.

Once the race is over, a closing ceremony will precede an “Extreme Party – it’s the last chance to celebrate the event and to share with family and friends this first experience in triathlon’s Heaven.
