Three Triathlons at the Festival of Sport Cornwall

The Festival of Sport Cornwall offers three triathlon distances as well at post-race food and entertainment

The first Festival of Sport Cornwall will be held on 14-16 September, 2012 in Mount’s Bay, opposite St Michael’s Mount, West Cornwall. The three-day annual festival will be based on core sports including triathlon, sportives, beach runs and open-water swimming.

There will be Middle, Olympic and Sprint distances available for the triathlon and they will all start with an open-water swim in Mount Bay. The bike leg will be a scenic route along the inland roads and spectacular coastlines of West Cornwall, before a run leg that finishes in front of St Michael’s Mount.

Post-race, there will be live music and entertainment (headline music acts to be announced), locally sourced food by Jamie Oliver’s Fabulous Feasts and a beer tent and bar by Cornwall’s award-winning independent family brewers, St Austell Brewery.

The 2012 Festival of Sport Cornwall will be organised by Participate Sport, who have been involved with the London, Barcelona and Abu Dhabi triathlons. To find out more, check out www.festivalofsport.net
