Thames Open Water Swim Series returns for a third year

First event of series kicks off in Windsor on Sunday 20 May 2012

The Thames Open Water Swim Series is returning for its third year, with the first event of the series taking place in Windsor on Sunday 20 May 2012.

There are four events in the series in total, taking in four distinct and beautiful locations along the River Thames.

Sunday 20 May 2012 – Royal Windsor Swim – 950m, 1.9km and 3.8km

Saturday 14 July 2012 – Marlow River Swim – 750m, 1.5km and 3km

Saturday 18 August 2012 – Henley-on-Thames River Swim – 750m, 1.5km and 3km

Saturday 9 September 2012 – MAXIFUEL Nutrition Open Water Swim Challenge (Bray) – 2km, 4km, 5km and 10km

By offering a variety of race distances, the race series is open to anyone that wants to take part. They are the perfect introduction for those trying out open water swimming for the first time, but likewise competitive swimmers aiming to only further improve their times will feel just as much at home.

For those looking for an exceptional challenge, the last event in the series– the Maxifuel Nutrition Open Water Swim Challenge really takes the next step, offering distances from 2km right up to a full 10km. The event takes place at Bray Lake Open Water Swimming centre (www.braylakeswimming.co.uk) on 9th September and offers exceptional facilities for competitors and spectators alike.
