Stannard and Hayes set for Windsor

The Fish, Stu Hayes and a cast of 2,000 set for Windsor this weekend

With the 2013 Windsor Triathlon just days away the exciting mix of elite triathletes taking part in the 2013 event has been announced. The event, organised by Human Race, has been running since 1990.

The Windsor Triathlon is also part of the British Triathlon Federation Super Series, which adds to the excitement of the occasion and attracts a lot of spectators to view the action with the beautiful backdrop of Windsor.

The men’s elite race has attracted a strong field including former ITU Triathlon world champion Stuart Hayes and also Richard Stannard who is the current Biathle World Champion and also the current British Masters record holder in the 200m free, 400m free, 800m free and 1500m free categories.

Greg Turner will also take part in the men’s race alongside twin brothers Tom and David Bishop making for a must-see men’s race for many spectators.

The elite women’s race also boosts an exciting field with some of the best of British female triathlon talent taking part. One to watch is Seonaid Thompson who finished 2nd in last year’s Windsor Triathlon and went on to be crowned the winner of the women’s British Triathlon Super Series in 2012.

Emily McLoughlin who has previously came third in the Youth National Series will also be competing along with GB athlete Emma Pallant who is coached by Michelle Dillon and is very strong on the run course.
