Prepare to race for Scottish Championship titles

Eight date Scottish National Champs confirmed for 2012

The 2012 Scottish Championships provide triathlonscotland members with the chance to win national titles and prize money.

There are eight championship events: Sprint Triathlon; Standard Triathlon; Middle Distance Triathlon; Youth Triathlon; Schools Triathlon; Cross Triathlon; Duathlon and Aquathlon. Each event is kindly supporter by Krystal Klear Spring Water, the official water supplier for the Scottish Triathlon Championships. All our adult championships, delivered in partnership with member clubs, has £1,400 of prize money up for grabs.

Showcasing the best of Scottish talent, many of the events attract Scotland’s professional racers such as Catriona Morrison, Kerry Lang, Fraser Cartmell and Ritchie Nicholls.

The first Championship event of 2012, the Scottish Duathlon, takes place on Sunday 25 March, hosted by Stirling Triathlon Club.

A testing course set around the scenic University of Stirling campus, championship hopefuls will complete the 10k run, 40k bike and 5k run. Aside from the Championship race, there is also a shorter sprint duathlon (5km run, 20km bike, 5km run) and an ever-popular children’s race of a 1km run, 3km bike and 1km run on grass. Entries for all three events are still available through the Entry Central website
