Places available at Speedo Tri

With the sun finally looking to put his/her hat on, your competitive juices will be in full flow. But nowhere to race next Saturday (26th May)? Not a problem as there are still places available at The Big Speedo Triathlon.

Based at the National Water Sports Centre, Nottingham, it’s a fine event to make the move into open-water triathlons.

Uniquely, there are just three waves – under-40 men, over 40-men and women – with each starting 3hrs apart. It means the whole family can race, without the worry of who will look after the kids…

It’s also the closest to an outdoor pool as you’ll get. Great slipway into and out of the water, wide and friendly start, close to the edge at all times, large visible swim buoys to make sighting easier, no tides or swells and a consistent shallow depth helps with the temperature. And if you need it, there’s a very experienced water safety team.

As for the bike and run elements, how does closed road, traffic free, perfectly flat, great surface and lots of support from the grandstand sound?

Whether you’re an experienced athlete looking for a very fast time over the sprint distance or you are a novice competitor looking for a safe and friendly venue for your first open water triathlon, then the Speedo Big Triathlon Nottingham is perfect for you.

A few finer details for you…

Male Under 40: 9am Start

Male Over 40: 12pm Start

All females: 3pm Start
