One inov-8 fan to win £1,000 of inov-8 products

Today inov-8 has launched the ‘8 Weeks to Become a Natural’ challenge: a unique opportunity for eight lucky runners to receive specialist coaching from Helen Hall, one half of the team behind Barefoot Audio, to guide them through the transition to minimalism, whether they are new to minimalist footwear or experienced natural runners.

The competition will be open to everyone via an application linked to the inov-8 Facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/INOV8run) from 30 May until 30 June and in return for completing a short questionnaire every applicant will receive a 25% off voucher for select inov-8 footwear from online retailer Wiggle.

At the start of the challenge – which runs from 7 July to 30 August – eight athletes will be assessed by Helen Hall and then be issued with the appropriate inov-8 shoes for their transition to minimalist as well as their eight week training programme.

During the challenge the athletes will upload updates, videos and pictures to their individual portals on the Facebook application so that everyone can follow the training and check the eight athletes’ progress. There will also be regular tips and question-and-answer sessions from Helen and the inov-8 team as well as spot prizes of inov-8 footwear for those following the programme.

At the end of eight weeks an assessment will establish which of the eight have improved the efficiency of their running the most and transitioned the most effectively. This will allow inov-8 to announce one of the eight as the winner of the ‘8 Weeks to Become a Natural’ prizes.
