McCormack pulls out of Copenhagen

Macca to race Roth instead after WTC buy Danish event

Four times world champion, Chris McCormack, today confirmed he will no longer race in Copenhagen in August in response to WTC’s purchase of Challenge Copenhagen and Challenge Aarhus organising company, YWC Sports.

“The Challenge Copenhagen race was a key event on my 2013 racing calendar. After discussions with my team and in light of things that have transpired over the past week, I have decided to shift my focus to other racing goals this year. I wish everyone racing in Copenhagen the best of luck. Stay true to yourself and your goals and chase your dreams.”

McCormack confirmed he will add another long distance Challenge Family event to his calendar which will be announced at DATEV Challenge Roth on Thursday 11 July.
