Hoy Bikes arrive in UK

The maiden range of Chris Hoy’s Hoy Bikes has been revealed

The initial range of Chris Hoy’s Hoy Bikes has been revealed. It consists of three road models named after the infamous climb in Mallorca, Sa Calobra where Chris trained every year, and four city bikes named Shizuoka which is the city in Japan where Chris spent some time training and racing.

The road range starts at £850 for the Shimano Tiagra equipped Sa Calobra .002 whilst the top spec .004 gets Shimano Ultegra gearing for £1300. The Shizuoka range starts at £550, up to £900 for the top spec and all city bikes come with powerful hydraulic brakes.

Cycling has been a central part of Chris’s life ever since he got his first bike. He was inspired to get into cycling after watching the BMX chase scene in Spielberg’s ET. From that day on all Chris wanted to do was ride his bike, racing in BMX, mountain bike, cyclo-cross, road, and track. It was never just about the medals but the sheer joy of cycling, 10 x World Championships and 6 x Olympic Gold medals later it is the same motivation that keeps him riding.

HOY bikes are available in-store and online from Evans Cycles or visit www.HOYbikes.com for more information on the range and latest news.
