Norwegian athletes Allan Hovda and Line Foss won the Norseman Xtreme Triathlon last week in tough conditions that included stiff headwinds, rain, hail and thick fog all the way through the 226km course to the top of Zombie Hill, the final ascent.

Around 260 athletes from 30 nations started the race by diving from a ferry into Eidfjord in southern Norway, with 247 of them making it all the way through to the finish.

"Finally after several tries, this was the day when everything worked out,” said women’s winner Line Foss afterwards.
