Eimear Mullan quits TeamTBB

"Best option to move on", says athlete

Eimear Mullan

Irish pro triathlete Eimear Mullan has decided to leave TeamTBB, stating on her personal blog that it was the best option following the departure of team founder Brett Sutton.

Mullan comments: “I have had an excellent year with TeamTBB and am extremely grateful that I had the opportunity to be a part of the team and to work with Brett.

“When Brett decided to leave the team I was left with some decisions to make about how to move forward in 2014. I decided that the best option for me was to move on from the team and from Brett.”

She joined TeamTBB in January 2013 and went on to record her most successful season to date, including wins at Ironman 70.3 Salzburg and Ironman 70.3 UK. Other athletes to have left TeamTBB recently include Jodie Swallow and James Cunnama.

Mullan adds on her blog that she will reveal more details of her plans for the 2014 season shortly.
