Dave Scott confirmed for Tri Show

Six-time Ironman World Champion to appear at Sandown in 2014

Six-time Ironman World Champion Dave Scott has been announced as one of the special guests at the 2014 Triathlon Show. The American triathlon legend and Chrissie Wellington’s former coach will be at Sandown Racecourse for the entire weekend, leading seminars and offering proven tips to improve your training.

Don’t miss this opportunity to learn from the man that shaped the sport of triathlon – so buy your tickets today.

Scott started his impressive winning streak only two years after the first ever Ironman contest launched in 1978. His victories and battles with Mark Allen (notably 1989’s Iron War pictured above with Scott on the left) are highlights in the history of the sport. Scott held the world record for an Ironman event with a time of 8:01.59 in Japan 1989. He also held the course record for Ironman Hawaii from 1980 to February 1982, and again from October 1982 to 1989.

Working now as a triathlon coach, fitness consultant, motivational speaker and commentator, Scott will utilise his years of experience by offering unique and creative training plans for athletes of all abilities.

The Triathlon Show, which takes place at Sandown Racecourse from 28 February to 2 March 2014, is ideal for everyone from experienced triathletes to those starting out in the world of all things swim, bike, run. The show has undergone significant changes for 2014 following its acquisition by Immediate Media Co, publishers of 220 Triathlon, the UK’s bestselling triathlon magazine.

With 40% more floor space, visitors will be the first to see the newest 2014 kit and apparel, get tips from some of the biggest stars of triathlon, enjoy free 1-2-1 swim, bike and run assessments and even take home personalised training programmes.

Book your tickets now and pre-register for your 1-2-1 training clinics and master classes at www.triathlonshow.co.uk

220 will be featuring an exclusive interview with Scott in issue 296, out on 4 February.
