Channel 4 to show highlights of British Triathlon Super Series

Channel 4 has confirmed it will screen a series of five highlights programmes around the 2010 British Triathlon Super Series

Broadcaster Channel 4 has confirmed it will screen a series of five highlights programmes around the 2010 British Triathlon Super Series. The 2010 Super Series will see competitors take part in the following races; GE Strathclyde Park Triathlon, The Blenheim Triathlon, Nokia Windsor Triathlon, The London Triathlon and GE Parc Bryn Bach Triathlon. There will also be a further programme from Edinburgh showing the GE 2010 Edinburgh ITU Duathlon World Championships.





The programmes which will be screened at various points from June through to October will be presented by two well known faces. Rob Walker will front the programmes from Strathclyde, Blenheim, London and the Duathlon from Edinburgh, whilst former GB 400 meter runner Iwan Thomas will present from Windsor and Bryn Bach.



Zara Hyde Peters, Chief Executive Officer of the British Triathlon Federation, is delighted that Channel 4 has agreed to broadcast highlights of the Super Series:

This is the second year running that Channel 4 have covered the British Triathlon Super Series, and their fourth year providing elite triathlon television coverage, highlighting the ever-increasing demand for triathlon as a modern and dynamic Olympic sport.



“This announcement tops off a great few weeks for the sport after the unveiling of GE as elite partner the British Triathlon Federation. We are now looking forward to the action getting started on the 23 May at the GE Strathclyde Park Triathlon.”



The shows will follow the progress of all the competitors who will be vying for 2010 British Triathlon Super Series title.

On the 23 May the GE Strathclyde Park Triathlon will be held on the 2014 Commonwealth Games venue, it will be the opening event of the 2010 British Triathlon Super Series as well as the fourth 2010 ITU Triathlon European Cup event and the Scottish Sprint Triathlon Championships.
