Cat Morrison named Scots Sportswoman of Year

Top British Ironman athlete wins national award

Congratulations to Catriona Morrison who has been named the Evening Times Scots Sportswoman of The Year. The 33-year-old European Duathlon Champion has enjoyed a fantastic few years, last year seeing her record the fastest-ever debut Ironman-distance time and also the sixth-fastest Ironman time in history.

Prior to this she held the World Duathlon Championship for three years in a row (2006, 2007 and 2008), and has also won the European Duathlon Championship twice, in 2007 and 2009.

This year Catriona will be concentrating on Ironman racing, as well as competing on home soil at the World Duathlon Championships in Edinburgh, in September.
