Olympians, Jez Cox and Natalie Barnard to host coaching day in July

Olympians Alan Rapley and Sian Brice will be amongst a team of top coaches as part of a daylong triathlon training event. Hosted by Active Training World, the event will be held on 13 July at Box End Lake in Bedford.

Split into two groups of beginners and improvers, triathletes of all abilities will participate in open water swimming practice, a cycling session plus a transition and run session.

Pro Ironman Natalie Barnard, former elite triathlete Tanja Slater, cycling legends Leda Cox and Roy Chamberlain plus serial winning duathlete Jez Cox complete the coaching line up who are ready to help train would-be sporting champions.

Natalie along with Jez and Leda Cox will be on hand to show participants how to achieve the optimum transition between the sporting disciplines when taking part in a triathlon.

The groups will also be cycling around the quiet country lanes surrounding the lake and will be coached on group riding, race pacing, gear selection and much more.

The event is being held at Box End Lake in Bedford on Saturday July 13 2013 from 9am until 6pm. Entry costs £90 and includes lunch, training sessions in open water swimming, cycling, transition and running techniques. Participants will also receive a free event T-shirt and swim cap. Wetsuit hire is also available on site.
