DogCam Bullet HD

Our relationship with the Bullet cam was a seedy sounding love affair seemingly penned by Jarvis Cocker – initial skepticism leading to inseparability… before a return to the manufacturer’s warranty department. As reported in 264’s First Look, the Bullet is a mere three-inches long and is capable of recording 1.5hrs of 720p high-def footage in one stint.

The mounts for both your head and bike make it suitable for tri and, in particular, add fun to off-road training stints, as well as being a useful tool for course recces. The 32g weight is barely noticeable when training in all disciplines, even if the ultra mini-light makes it hard to gauge if recording is active or not.

The relationship ended, however, when we switched to the sound recording vented back cover in the water. Despite claims of 1m-depth suitability, the vents soon leaked to leave the camera inactive. Thankfully, Dogcam offer a no-quibble warranty, but this is something to be aware of if you purchase this otherwise fun and (user) friendly gadget.
