First Look: Polar M400 run watch

New GPS device promises to track your activity 24/7 – and get you home when (ahem) lost

Hard on the heels of Polar’s recently reviewed V800 Multisport comes this, the M400, designed to track your active life 24/7 and report back to the Polar Flow web service for deeper analysis.

Launching in October for £134.50, the M400 features Bluetooth Smart for seamless connectivity with a smartphone, customisable sport profiles, and a ‘Back-to-Start’ feature to guide you home when you’ve been enjoying the new Aphex Twin album a bit too much to watch where you’re going.

Polar M400 plus Polar Flow web service

Other features include Polar’s Smart Coaching to give guidance during your training, a Running Index to calculate how your running performance is developing over time based on heart rate and speed, and a water resistant high-res screen.

Watch this space for a test very soon…
