Review: Under Armour HeatGear Sonic ArmourVent running top

Highly recommended and affordable multi-season tee from body padding specialists

Given their heritage in kitting out 230lb men in body padding (and our beloved Spurs), it’s unsurprising that Under Armour aren’t ubiquitous in 220. But the American giants also have a gauntlet of garb for multisporters.

A 90:10 mix of polyester and elastane, the HeatGear Sonic ArmourVent achieved our optimum run tee fit of being free from restriction but far from sitting like a blouse.

On some sticky trail runs, the back/side meshing was adequate at providing breathability, with the sweat-wicking properties preventing any damp patches.

It also remained free from nasty niffs after multiple washes. We actually like the stealthy look but the Sonic comes in five other colourways if noir ain’t your thing.
