Nike Dri-Fit Cheetah Print

The ‘Green Monstrosity’, as this top soon became known, is another of Nike’s iconic Dri-FIT range, which will no doubt become a staple part of many a triathlete’s wardrobe in some shape or form.

The quick-wicking fabric (a polyester, in this case, that can wick moisture away from the body), combined with a flat-seam construction to reduce chafing, makes this latest sleeveless training shirt a natural must-have on paper. Yet, surprisingly, it seems to have been designed more for the gym or the tennis court rather than the road or trail.

While most Dri-FIT garments are relatively tight-fitting, this is decidedly oversized (a medium fits like other garments do in a large), impacting on its quick-wicking efficiency. For an all-round training top, this is fine if you prefer higher levels of air circulation, but if you’re looking for the highest levels of comfort in your running/training vest, there are better options on the market, even at this modest price.
