Asics Zeus ½ Zip

The Zeus is Asics’ top-of-the-range run tee and hence comes with a larger than normal price tag. It boasts a biomorphic cut, meaning fit has been specially tailored to the movement of the body. This works well on the run. However, if you want to wear it anywhere else – for example, the gym – it’s not going to work so well.

Vented mesh panels under the arms allow excess moisture to evaporate easily, and the high-quality fabrics provide good wicking and comfort levels.

Unlike other tees on test, the Zeus has a zip at the neck, giving you a little more versatility throughout summer to dump excess heat. This was also the only point that caused irritation as, when it was undone, the front felt a little high and caused a bit of annoyance. Zipped up, it felt fairly tight.

If you’re willing to pay the premium (£5 for a zip it would seem!), the Zeus is a really good top – unless you have a wide neck that is!
