Timex Ironman Race Training Kit

The name suggests that this Timex kit might include a wealth of goodies. The end result, however, was somewhat disappointing.

The bundle includes a USB stick for wireless downloading of data and a fairly standard heart rate belt. The USB device is a welcome addition but doesn’t provide the live functionality of Suunto, nor the automatic download genius of Garmin. The standard heart rate belt is bulky, too, but this is also the case with most alternatives at this price point.

Timex watches are always comfortable, though, and the styling here is on a par with others in their range. Also, while there doesn’t seem to be any unique functionality that would drive you towards this model, we’re sure that there are fans out there of Timex’s no-nonsense, uncomplicated approach. If that’s you, this may suit.
